Man faces multiple charges after Rugby police car was smashed into three times with stolen pick up truck

A Rugby man has been arrested and is facing multiple charges after a shocking incident in which a police had was reverse rammed three times during a pursuit. On January 22 Rugby police officers tried to stop a silver Ford Ranger pick up truck in the Brownsover area. The driver of the pick up failed to stop so police pursued him through Rugby, into Clifton, out onto the A5 and into Catthorpe.

Eventually the police car was disabled and the driver got away. But this morning, February 14, Joe Partridge of Rugby was charged and remanded to court for dangerous driving, taking the vehicle without the owner’s consent and driving without insurance. Photo: Rugby Police, Facebook.

The Ford was stolen from Northamptonshire on January 15 before being found abandoned the day after the pursuit.
