Queues building at Channel ports

Drivers are being forced to endure lengthy waits to cross the Channel because of the government’s new quarantine requirements.
Cross-channel ferry operators have reported queues of up to 90 minutes to board ships after delays in processing people entering Britain.
The Times was told that the delays may have been worsened by the government providing quarantine forms only in English, with foreign lorry drivers struggling to fill them out.
More than eight in ten hauliers entering Britain are from outside the country.
Although HGV drivers are exempt from the two-week quarantine, they still have to fill out the arrivals form each time they cross the Channel.
Passengers have also reported queues at airports while forms are checked by Border Force officials.
