Dramatic picture shows lorry ablaze in Derbyshire road

This is the dramatic picture of a lorry on fire in a Derbyshire road. Firefighters were called to the A623 near Warlow Mires around 7.30am, on Monday, September 7, to reports of a vehicle fire. Two units from Hathersage fire station were dispatched, along with police officers.

The image shows the HGV’s cab in the fire’s latter stages. It has not been disclosed what caused the fire or what happened to the driver. Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service said crews from Bradwell and Hathersage extinguished the fire, adding that the “incident was left with Derbyshire police”.
