M62 traffic stopped after huge lorry fire

Emergency services from East Yorkshire were in attendance at a huge lorry fire which caused long delays on the M62 heading westbound on Wednesday morning. The incident happened just before 7.45am on Wednesday as Humberside Fire and Rescue crews raced to the scene to battle the HGV fully ablaze. Humberside Police were also in attendance at the scene near junction 35 for Selby.

Highways England tweeted: “#M62 westbound J35 #M18 to J34 #Selby we have a HGV fire. #TrafficOfficers just arrived with @HumbersideFire @HumberbeatRoadsalso en route.

Traffic currently stopped.”
