By The Berkshire Eagle WEST STOCKBRIDGE — Local firefighters quickly doused an electrical fire from a disabled service truck near the Massachusetts Turnpike early Wednesday.

About 6:45 a.m., West Stockbridge firefighters were dispatched to an area of Route 41 across from the turnpike on-ramp, according to Fire Chief Steve Traver. While there were initial concerns about the 100 gallons of diesel fuel the truck held, Traver said none of the fuel ignited or leaked. Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire and the truck was towed away.

No one was hurt.
