Amazon is hiring for roles at its Coventry and Rugby centres. The online retail giant also has vacancies at its centre in Daventry. Amazon has warehouse operative vacancies at all three centres in Coventry, Warwickshire and Northamptonshire.

At Coventry both full and part-time roles are available while at Rugby and Daventry the roles that are available are full-time. Part-time roles in Coventry are for either 15 hours or 20 hours. The huge centre in Coventry is unlike other Amazon centres in the UK in that it is a receive centre.

Goods arrive there before going out to other Amazon centres.

The centre in Rugby is also different in that it deals exclusively with alcohol. The gigantic warehouse close to the M6 is packed with beer, wine and spirits. The rates of pay for warehouse operative roles vary.

Pay is GBP9.70 per hour for day time shifts. An additional GBP1.71 per hour for night time shifts. Overtime between GBP14.55 (for hours worked between 40-50 hours) and GBP19.40 per hour (for hours worked between 50-60 hours).

There are a range of day, night, part-time, full-time and weekend shifts available. Shifts vary by location and are subject to availability. The contracts are temporary and all applicants who are successful in the selection process will be employed by PMP Recruitment to work on a temporary assignment to Amazon.

The responsibilities of a fulfilment associate are listed as follows:

You must have drive, ambition and a passion for ensuring that customers receive a first-class Amazon experience. You may be asked to work in various areas of the building, the main departments being inbound and outbound. Handling the full range of goods by Amazon and its marketplace sellers in the UK, including but not limited to: age restricted products, food (including nuts and meat) and alcohol and chemicals

Efficiently and effectively receiving and storing goods inwards following Amazon’s internal processes and procedures and using radio frequency (RF) scanners Pick our customer orders ensuring a high level of quality and productivity

Physical Demands The role involves the following physical demands on a daily basis: Standing and/or walking during the duration of a shift (standard full time shifts are 10 hours excluding overtime, flex and part-time shifts may vary)

Lifting and moving products up to 23kg in weight
