Two Sheffield women were killed in a horror crash yesterday

The women, who were travelling in the Corsa, were pronounced dead at the scene. A man arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving has been released from police custody under investigation after spending yesterday being quizzed. The road between Renishaw and Eckington was closed until around 3pm yesterday for accident investigation work to be carried out at the scene.

Witnesses to the collision, anyone who may have seen the vehicles beforehand or anyone with dashcam or CCTV footage, should call Derbyshire Police on 101 and quote reference 101 of October 7.
