Girl left shaken after being 'followed' by men in Toyota pick-up truck

A teenage girl was left shaken after she was ‘followed’ by two men in a pick-up truck. The girl got off a bus outside the Brownlow Arms, Caldwell, North Yorkshire, on Tuesday 3 November at around 4.10pm. As she walked towards Forcett the girl became aware of an old Toyota Hilux pick-up truck without a canopy crawling behind her.

The vehicle overtook the girl and stopped. At this point, the teenager believed two men in the vehicle were staring at her. But when the girl reached for her phone the vehicle drove off towards Forcett.

North Yorkshire Police have laid on extra patrols to provide reassurance following the suspicious incident which left the girl feeling shaken and upset. A force spokesperson said: “Police are seeking help to identify the men in the vehicle to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.” The men are described as aged between 20 and 30.
