Horror as burnt-out car caught dangling off 'death trap' HGV

Police patrolling Hull and the East Riding’s roads have acted fast after a “death trap” was spotted on the area’s roads. The HGV had a number of issues itself, but the vehicle loaded onto its trailer is what caught the attention of Humberside Police officers. The truck was carrying a burnt-out car which was dangling precariously over its edge – putting fellow motorists at risk.

It was seen travelling along the A18 near Thorne before police managed to get its driver to pull over. The burnt-out vehicle it was carrying was “completely insecure” according to the force, while the HGV itself was missing bolts and had been without an MOT for two years.
