Woman left with life-changing injuries after car overturns in serious Southend crash

Police were called to Shoebury Road shortly after 6.30pm last night (November 24), following reports that a black Citreon C3 had crashed with several parked cars, and had overturned onto it’s side. Firefighters cut the roof of the car to help release the trapped casualty, and an air ambulance was also sent to the scene. Thankfully, they were released by 8pm and left in the care of the air ambulance team.

The driver of the car, a woman in her 50s, was taken to hospital with life-changing injuries. It is believed the patient was airlifted to Addenbrookes Hospital in Cambridge. Read more:
