Electric refuse truck leads Stroud council's zero-carbon initiative

 

A fully electric refuse truck has taken to the streets in Gloucestershire in a bid to make the entire district carbon neutral. Ubico, which handles waste on behalf of Stroud district council, trialled the e-One electric truck, converted from a diesel-powered vehicle to an electric drivetrain. It is one of the first full electric refuse vehicle conversions in the UK.
