Lorry overturns in A436 crash as police tell drivers to avoid the area

A crash on the A436 in the Cotswolds involving a lorry and a tree is causing delays this afternoon. Police are at the scene of the crash between Andoversford and Seven Springs which has seen a lorry overturn and a tree fall across the road. The driver of the lorry is said to have sustained injuries that are not life-threatening and has been taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital.

Drivers have been told to avoid the area while the road is cleared. Police reported the incident on Twitter in a post that read: “Road traffic collision A436 between Andoversford and Seven Springs. HGV turned over and a tree across the road.

“Thankfully no reported serious injuries.

Please consider an alternative route while the road is closed and being cleared #SafeAndSocialRoads”
