Thanet: Stranded Poundland lorry blocks Broadstairs High Street during 'Beast from the East 2'

A stranded lorry blocked off Broadstairs High Street after getting stuck in the aftermath of today’s snowfall. The lorry was stuck in the snow at the high street junction with Queens Road this evening (February 7). With the main road blocked, cars are now being forced to turn around and head in a different direction although for some drivers that advice came too late.

The slope in Broadstairs means it is incredibly difficult to turn around and one driver gave up trying to move his car.
