Broomhill Road crash: Bristol route closed after child hit in collision

A child has been hit by a vehicle in south Bristol this afternoon (March 31). The crash happened on Broomhill Road at the junction with Whitmore Avenue. Emergency crews are at the scene, and motorists are urged to avoid the area.

The road has been closed between the junctions with Bellroyal Avenue and Fermain Avenue Traffic monitoring site Inrix says: “Reports of accident on Broomhill Road at Whitmore Avenue.” A travel bulletin issued by Avon and Somerset police says a child has been hit in a collision and the road could be closed for around five hours.
