A woman, man and a young child have been killed in a horrific Easter Saturday highway crash that left just one survivor.

The Honda Accord swerved off the Princes Highway 13km south of Ulladulla on the NSW south coast about 4.30am and smashed into a tree.

The female driver died at the scene alongside two passengers, a man and a young child, as paramedics arrived.

One man survived the crash (pictured) and was rushed to hospital but his condition has not been confirmed

A tragic single vehicle crash (pictured) early on Saturday morning has resulted in a man, woman and child being killed

An adult male passenger was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries.

His condition is not yet known.

Officers from South Coast Police District are examining the scene on the Princes Highway at Lake Tabourie and an investigation is underway as to how the car left the road and collided with the tree.

The victims are yet to be formally identified.

Pictures show emergency crews were met with a shocking scene as they worked in the pre-dawn darkness to asses the situation.

The crumpled wreck of the Honda can be seen in one piece but clearly having sustained catastrophic damage.

Police and paramedics could be seen loading the male survivor into the back of a waiting ambulance before he was later airlifted to hospital.

Emergency crews were called to the scene (pictured) about 13km south of Ulladulla in New South Wales

Some roads have been closed in the area and motorists can expect delays.

A report will be prepared for the coroner.

A woman also died in hospital on Saturday morning following a separate single-vehicle crash in Sydney’s south, police said.

The 46-year-old was a passanger in a Hyundai i30 which left the road and struck a power pole on Ramsgate Road at Ramsgate on Friday evening.

The 64-year-old driver of the Hyundai also sustained suspected spinal injuries and is in St George Hospital.

Officers from St George Police Area Command and the Crash Investigation Unit have established a crime scene.

Roads out of Sydney have been chaotic leading into the long weekend with the M1 northbound gridlocked for hours on Friday.

Holiday traffic heading south and west also caused significant delays as motorists drove towards the South Coast and Blue Mountains.

In regional Queensland, a young woman has also been killed overnight after she fell from a ute tray.

A 19-year-old who was allegedly driving the vehicle along Springvale Road, Springvale has been charged over the tragedy.

The 23-year-old woman is understood to have been riding in the ute tray on the highway when she fell and suffered fatal injuries.

The driver refused a breath test at the scene, police allege.

He was charged with driving with a person in the part of a vehicle designed for carriage of goods and refusing to provide a specimen of breath for analysis.

The investigation is ongoing.

In 2020 six Australians lost their lives on the nations roads over the five-day Easter holidays, a sharp decline from 19 the previous year.
