LIVE: Two air ambulances land at A177 crash where car is reported to have hit horses

A major road has been closed on Easter Sunday following a car crash. The A177 Stockton Road has been shut in both directions from the Travelodge to McDonald’s. Cleveland Police is asking motorists to avoid the area until further notice.

There is currently a number of emergency services at the scene including police and the air ambulance. The incident is believed to have happened at around 10.15am. The ambulance service has revealed a car is reported to have hit horses.
