A MUM and daughter were arrested at a GBP1million townhouse today as part of a probe into an alleged organised crime gang. Michelle Maxwell, 41, and Kendal O’Hara, 24, were nick-ed after cops battered down a door in the dramatic 6am raid.

The raid was part of a probe into an alleged organised crime gang

Officers seized three cars worth GBP255,000 during the operation at the pad in plush Park Circus, Glasgow. It was part of a series of coordinated swoops on nine homes in the city, Lanarkshire and Edinburgh.

In total 15 Rolex, Tag Heuer and Breitling watches, as well as designer clothes, mobile phones and GBP54,000 in cash were recovered from the properties.

Police confirmed two men aged 42 and 29 were also arrested. Detective Chief Insp-ector John Morrison, of the Serious and Organised Crime Pro-Active Team, said: “We are committed to relentlessly pursuing organised criminals and those who benefit.

The raid took place at 6am

“This operation shows we’ll continue to disrupt groups and their activities.” A GBP135,000 Audi R8, a Range Rover SVR worth up to GBP110,000 and a GBP10,000 Audi A3 were taken away on a truck.

One cop clutching a brown bag was also spotted leaving the five-bedroom property as part of the investigation.

A crack team of around 50 detectives were briefed ahead of the dawn raid.
