Mr Tee – ‘the King of Desserts’ is coming back to Cornwall

The people of Cornwall are in for a real treat as Mr Tee, ‘King of Desserts’ returns to the county in his eye-catching ice-cream truck this weekend for the Tour of Britain event. Tee Smith, who calls himself Mr Tee, King of Desserts, got back into his iconically-styled ice cream truck earlier this year and is touring again after sticking to his home turf of Wrexham, North Wales during lockdown. The self-proclaimed King of Desserts will be coming to Bodmin as part of a series of events organised by Bodmin Town Council to celebrate the Tour of Britain coming to Cornwall.

Mr Tee also posted on his Facebook page this morning to ask his followers where he should moor up for the day today – asking voters to like the status if they choose Bodmin, or love the post if they choose St Austell.

So far, Bodmin is in the lead! And he has also confirmed that he will serving today and Sunday from 1:00pm to 3:30pm at The Kalacliff Hotel on Lusty Glaze Road in Newquay. Having grown his social media following to around 250,000 since he started five years ago, Mr Tee’s quirky, experimental and, crucially, self-made ice cream has become a nationwide sensation.

After having lost his pizza delivery business during the financial crisis a decade ago, Mr Tee’s humble ice cream truck started out in Wrexham, but has since exploded in popularity. Wherever he goes, large crowds show up with queues often exceeding 100.
