Search ongoing to find stolen trailer of popular street food kitchen

A search is ongoing to find a popular food trailer which was stolen in Darlington. Owners of Salt Street Food Kitchen and Bar say the trailer was stolen from their drive at around 10pm on Wednesday, September 8. The food trailer was last spotted near Morton Park Morrisons at 10.10pm and is believed to have been towed away by a silver/grey 4×4 vehicle.

Police have confirmed inquiries into the theft remain ongoing and the search to find the trailer continues.

A spokesman for Durham Constabulary said: “It is believed the trailer was stolen at around 10pm on Wednesday night from outside of an address on Harewood Grove. “The trailer, which is thought to have been towed away by a silver/grey 4×4 vehicle, is described as black with the word ‘SALT’ printed on the side in white. “It was last sighted near Morton Park Morrisons at 10.10pm.

“Anyone with information or CCTV/dashcam footage of the theft in is asked to contact PC Waddington on 101 extension 209156 or email scott.waddington@durham.police.uk quoting incident number 465 of September 8.”
