Two men involved in a terrifying early hours shotgun attack on a family home in Bradford have each been jailed for seven years. A judge at the Bradford Crown Court was today (December 9) shown CCTV footage of masked gunman Joseph Wood getting out of a van driven by co-accused Jack Green and then running through an alleyway towards the terraced property. Seconds later Wood, 26, fired the shortened weapon through the living room window of the house on Leyburne Street while the male occupant was asleep in bed upstairs.

Fortunately his wife and children were not in the house at the time of the incident in June this year, but Recorder Richard Wright QC told Wood:”It was purely by chance that nobody was injured or killed by what was a grossly dangerous act on your part”. As well as shattering the window the gunshot left pellets embedded in the living room wall of the property. In a victim impact statement the mum described how she no longer felt happy in a home which used to be “a safe haven”.

The duo were jailed after they both admitted possession of the shotgun with intent to cause fear of violence. Green, of Westfield Lane, Wyke, was still on prison licence at the time of the attack having been jailed for six years back in 2016 for an offence of wounding with intent to do grievous bodily harm. Wood had also served a short prison sentence before and the pair admitted possession of the weapon while prohibited.

During the series of time-wasting calls Fort claimed he had shot himself and other people and suggested “bombs were going off” in his head. Bradford Crown Court heard that during one 19-minute call Fort claimed to have planted a remote-controlled bomb in the Trafalgar House police station and said he didn’t care if he went down.

In an earlier call he had said he was going to push the trigger and blow the police officers up. He pleaded guilty to offences of communicating false information, assaulting emergency workers and racially aggravated harassment and was jailed for a total of 27 months.

Thomas Walker

The killers, rapists and twisted stalker spending Christmas 2021 behind barsThomas Walker was sentenced at Sheffield Crown Court for voyeurism and an assault

Woman-beating bricklayer Thomas Walker sent his ex a video of a woman performing a sex act on him and uploaded it to Snapchat for his friends to see. Remorseless Walker smirked over a video link from HMP Doncaster as he was told he had to register as a sex offender having been locked up for attacking a woman and a separate offence of voyeurism.

Sheffield Crown Court heard the 27-year-old, from Rotherham, had recorded a woman carrying out a sex act on him and uploaded it to Snapchat where he was said to have had 400 friends on his list. His victim’s embarrassment was compounded when Walker’s ex brought the video to her attention last year and it was reported to the police. The court also heard Walker had attacked a woman earlier this year inflicting injuries to her face and body and leaving her bloodied.

Judge Graham Reeds QC rejected submissions that Walker, of Beechville Avenue, was remorseful for his actions and jailed him for two years and three months after he admitted voyeurism and assault occasioning actual bodily harm. A suspended sentence of four months’ imprisonment was also activated to run consecutively. A restraining order banning him from contacting his victim will run indefinitely and Walker smirked as he was told he would be on the sex offenders’ register for seven years.
