Police seize ‘speeding’ Lamborghini on Stoke-on-Trent street

A Lamborghini was pulled over by police and towed away – after the driver was found to have no insurance. The car was seized on Carlisle Street, in Dresden. Police had spotted the vehicle ‘speeding’ and stopped the car.

Checks revealed that the driver did not have suitable insurance to drive the black Lamborghini. The vehicle was then seized and the driver reported. In a post shared on the Stoke-on-Trent Police Facebook page, police said that the driver believed ‘they had third party cover via their own car insurance’.

“Over the weekend officers in Dresden pulled over a vehicle for excessive speed in a 30mph zone. The driver was not insured on the vehicle and believed they had third party cover via their own car insurance.” A photo shared by Stoke-on-Trent Police showed the luxury sports car being towed away by a truck.
